Polyurea Seals for TAVA Vacuum Filling Stations – Project RAMPF and TARTLER

Strong. Precise. Reliable system seals for demanding industrial processes.

How can high-precision seals for TAVA vacuum filling systems from TARTLER GmbH be manufactured cost-effectively, flexibly, and with lasting reliability ?

A recent case study by RAMPF demonstrates how TARTLER GmbH produces custom lid seals for its TAVA vacuum filling stations using an MDM 6 dispensing system. The solution utilizes RAKU® TOOL WB-1250 or WB-1404 block materials for the molds, combined with the RAKU® TOOL PC-3411 / PH-3911-1 polyurea casting system.

The result: Durable, chemical-resistant, and heavy-duty seals that ensure safe and stable production processes.

Challenge: Permanently reliable sealing

In TAVA vacuum filling stations from TARTLER GmbH, seals must function reliably and withstand high mechanical and chemical loads.

Key requirements include:

  • High elasticity and recovery
  • Resistance to media and cleaning agents
  • Long service life under repeated loading
  • High dimensional accuracy of the seal geometry
  • Reliable processing and reproducible results
  • Good moisture and temperature resistance for stable processing and diverse operating conditions

Manufacturing such seals requires both high-performance elastomer systems and precision molding materials.

Manufacturing Process

From design to production-ready gasket

The gasket is manufactured through close collaboration between TARTLER GmbH and RAMPF:

1. Gasket layout design

Joint definition of the gasket geometry and technical requirements.

2. Creation of CAD data

CAD design of the gasket by TARTLER GmbH.

3. Mold design

Development of the mold design by RAMPF Advanced Polymers.

4. Creation of CAM data

Programming and preparation for CNC machining.

5. Milling the mold

Production of the mold using RAKU® TOOL WB-1250 or WB-1404.

6. Mold preparation

Sanding, polishing, and release agent application.

7. Casting the gasket

Initial production using RAKU® TOOL PC-3411 / PH-3911-1 on a TARTLER MDM 6 dispensing system.

8. Series production

Handover of the mold to TARTLER GmbH for industrial production of the gaskets.
