Olav Davis: ” By using a TAVA 200 F, a synthetic resin user takes a significant step forward in realizing sustainability goals on the way to zero waste production.”
ZERO WASTE in Blade Production
TARTLER’S pioneering degassing technology supports zero waste goals
Today sustainability is a key requirement for any modern business. Especially in the renewable sector like wind, to be sustainable and expectation by society. Therefore, it is not surprising the largest well known windenergy producers have announced their ambitious zero waste production targets to the public.
Focusing on the composite windblade production, then TARTLER can offer reliable and production ready solutions to the industry to reduce waste in their daily production.
With our TAVA 200F system we can remove significant amount of wasted Epoxy bondpaste material used to bond two blade shells together to form a whole blade.
During the blade join up process, for a modern 4MW to 6MW blade portfolio approximately +500kg of bondpaste material is used per blade. With standard bondpaste machines, the material is typically dispensed from 200 litre drums. For every material drum that is used there is up to 14 kg “left over” material in the Inliner of the drum after the drum is “emptied” by the dosing machine. This perfectly good bondpaste is then thrown away as chemical waste as it cannot be reused by the dosing machines again. The reason it cannot be used is due to trapped air in the material if you try and collect it together and transfer it back into a drum. The trapped airpockets will cause unreliable operation of the machine and give high risk of mixing errors in the structurally critical bondlines of the blade. The TAVA 200 F system enables you to “degass” this left over material in the inliner, so that all the airpocketes are removed. Then you can then safely use this material again in your machines without any risk of mixing and dispensing problems.
With the TAVA 200 F system not only do you make a significant step forward in meeting your sustainability target towards Zero waste production, it also make a lot of sense that you save a lot of cost. For every 200 liter drum bondpaste used in the production you can recover up to 14Kg of normally wasted material. So for every 200 litre drum used you can increase the useable amount up up to 6%. Hence the return of investment for the equipment is very fast depending on your yearly usage of bondpaste material.
The other good news is the TAVA 200F equipment is complete standalone solution that is e so all existing bondpaste machines in your production can be used as before.
The TAVA 200 F system is available immediately and can be installed in a few days ready for operation. So why not contact us today, to make a significant step towards your sustainability target for zero waste production.

TAVA F – Filling, degassing and processing material
The vacuum filling station TAVA F is the trend-setting solution for cost-optimized and waste-free filling of flowable and pasty components of synthetic resin processing. For all companies that work with metering and mixing systems and want to increase the quality of their synthetic resin applications, this degassing station clears the way for cost reduction and waste avoidance: As a resource-saving material preparation by degassing and eliminating air inclusions in the delivery container or as a preparation of unmixed residual quantities from ongoing production.
Filling of liquid or pasty plastics without any air inclusions
Improvement of the storage stability
Maximum work safety
Guaranteed process reliability for subsequent applications
