Customized design and highly automated

TARTLER realizes customer-specific complete systems for industrial bonding processes

TARTLER‘s automated synthetic resin processing systems are at the heart of many industrial bonding and potting processes. The company not only supports its customers in the optimal process integration of its dispensing, mixing, and application systems, but also implements complete production cells including all central and peripheral positioning and handling systems. In this current snapshot, you can read about the range of services it can cover.

TARTLER realizes individually designed and highly automated production lines for bonding and potting on an industrial scale.

In many assembly and production lines today, fully automated bonding processes dominate the joining and bonding processes. Bonding has long been established as an alternative to mechanical joining and welding – especially since it also often covers sealing and potting tasks. When it comes to  providing the necessary process and production equipment, users in a wide variety of industries now rely on the services of the German family-owned company TARTLER. Based on its broad range of expertise in synthetic resin processing, the company has established a reputation as an experienced technology partner for the implementation of individually designed and highly automated complete solutions for bonding and potting on an industrial scale. Depending on the high- or lowviscosity materials to be processed, the focus is on dosing, mixing, and application systems from the MDM, Nodopur, Tardosil, or Nodopox series. They are integrated into environments configured according to customer requirements and integrated with the control technology, creating a manufacturing cell or production unit tailored to the specific application. „Based on our expertise as a manufacturer of systems for synthetic resin processing and material conditioning, our vertical integration at our headquarters in Michelstadt, and our in-house programming, we can implement highly innovative system solutions for adhesive technology and electro-encapsulation. Thanks to our well-established collaboration with regional partners, we also have access to a wide range of positioning and handling solutions, enabling us to master even complex fully automated tasks,“ emphasizes company CEO Udo Tartler.

Collaborative robots for automatic mixing head handling are also used in TARTLER‘s gluing and potting systems.

All materials familiar

The dosing, mixing, and application systems of the various TARTLER series are modern single- and multi-component systems for polyurethane, epoxy resin, and silicone processing. The company‘s particular strengths include the design and implementation of customized solutions for processing pastes and synthetic resins with very large viscosity differences, as well as in extreme formulations and mixing ratios. „In terms of materials, we are familiar with almost all materials currently used in industrial bonding and potting technology. Since we also maintain close contact with renowned material manufacturers, we are always up to date in this area,“ says Udo Tartler.

Apply the exact amount precisely

Whether heavy-duty booms or sensitive grippers, whether feed and discharge technology or whether distribution, refilling or heating stations – whatever is required, the TARTLER engineers are called upon to realize fully automated systems for gluing and potting technology.

The situation is similar in the field of positioning and handling technology. In concrete terms, this means:
Whether a complete solution requires two- or threeaxis gantry systems or 360° articulated-arm robots, whether heavy-duty cranes and booms or sensitive positioning and gripping devices, whether more or less complex feed and discharge technology is required, or whether distribution, refill, or heating stations are necessary – whatever is required, TARTLER engineers will utilize and integrate it to realize efficient, fully automated bonding and potting technology. For example, collaborative robots can be used to create flexible bonding systems with combined manual and automatic mixing head handling, production cells for automated circuit board potting, special systems for minimumquantity application, or large multi-station dispensing systems with replenishment units and automatic workpiece handling. „Currently, we often implement X-Y-Z systems or systems with individually programmable travel axes for positioning the mixing head. This often involves controlling precisely defined dosing positions or flushing and intermediate shot coordinates, for example, to follow a fine contour and apply the adhesive or potting compound in the exact amount with great precision,“ explains Udo Tartler.

By the way: One aspect that is becoming increasingly important for the implementation of fully automated systems for adhesive and potting technology is the sustainable and economical use of materials. TARTLER makes a crucial contribution to this with its vacuum-based degassing and transfer systems.

"Based on our know-how as a manufacturer of systems for synthetic resin processing and material conditioning, our vertical range of manufacture and our inhouse programming, we can implement innovative system solutions for adhesive
technology and electrical encapsulation."
