First dispense, then mix and apply – this is the principle behind the compact system solutions in the MDM series from TARTLER. Specially developed for processing small quantities of liquid polyurethanes, epoxies and silicones, they can be used in various process engineering environments and offer an interesting perspective for entry into automated 2K dosing and mixing technology.

All systems in the MDM series from TARTLER are designed for processing small and medium quantities of synthetic resin and allow the user to achieve the quality standards familiar from industrial production. Depending on the variant and equipment, they are also the ideal entry-level solution for all those processors who want to move away from manual mixing and turn to automated mixing technology. This is best illustrated by the MDM plus model in the series. For example, anyone who manufactures GRP(FRP)/CFRP pipes using filament winding, who produces lightweight components (RTM) for the aerospace industry using resin transfer molding, who produces profiles using pultrusion or who is at home in vacuum infusion technology can make the leap from manual or semi-automatic processing to fully automated, controlled dosing, mixing and application technology with this system. Thanks to its numerous modules, the MDM plus can be adapted to almost any process and task
in synthetic resin processing. It can even be equipped with intelligent volume flow control so that the mixing ratio and output can be controlled precisely, continuously and automatically.
The MDM plus is equipped as standard with the LC5/3 mixing
head from TARTLER, which can be fitted with rotating disposable plastic mixer.
Technically and functionally, the MDM plus joins the large, fully automated synthetic resin processing systems of the Nodopur series from TARTLER. It stands out from the smaller models in the MDM series due to its higher output (up to 6.5 kg/min) and the separate drives for each material component (resin, hardener). Its basic equipment includes a 7-inch touch panel, a mobile basic structure including drip tray and the aforementioned option of integrating a volume flow control. In addition, the MDM plus has fill level indicators for both components and can be equipped with the LC 5/3 mixing head from TARTLER. It can be operated with rotating disposable plastic mixers so that no liquid detergents are required. The MDM plus can be equipped with containers with a capacity of 3.0 to 60 liters.
The sophisticated design of the compact system allows pneumatic or electric agitators to be used and the B component to be passed through a gap filter. The MDM plus can also be equipped with a recirculation function that feeds unmixed material through the pumps during dosing pauses and – if available – back into the containers through the volume flow meter. In this way, the operating temperature can be kept constant and the components homogeneous – and adjustments to the system can be carried out without loss of material. This also prevents fillers from getting stuck in the dosing hose when the process comes to a standstill.
This MDM plus from TARTLER, designed for filament winding,
has two mixing heads for filling impregnation baths. They are
controlled via fill level controls.
All in all, TARTLER offers five small quantity systems in its MDM series. Even the smallest model – the MDM 3 – has electrically driven dosing pumps and container ports for connecting original containers. It dispenses up to 0.7 l/min of material at a mixing ratio of 100:100. The largest system in the series is the MDM 6, which is designed for outputs of up to 3.5 l/min and containers with volumes of 3.0 l to 100 l. With its control system, large recirculations can also be carried out, in which the material also flows through the mixing head and machine and the system is immediately ready for use again.
On the basis of its modularity program, TARTLER can adapt any MDM system to customer-specific and application-specific requirements – for example with refill kits, chassis or heating and degassing systems. In this way, the company accompanies a synthetic resin user every step of the way to the next level of automated processing.
